In 1932, the Grand Budapest was a prestigious hotel run by concierge Monsieur Gustave, known for satisfying his guests’ desires before they even expressed them. Upon the death of Madame D., one of his loyal clients, M. Gustave inherits a precious painting which quickly disappears. With his protégé Zero and the help of Agatha, Zero’s girlfriend, Mr. Gustave must confront Madame D.’s heirs and prove his innocence against a backdrop of political turbulence in Europe.
