At the opening of a series of conferences related to botany and gardens, the writer and landscape designer, Umberto Pasti, in conversation with Madison Cox, President of the Fondation Jardin Majorelle, will discuss his book “The House of a Lifetime: A Collector’s Journey in Tangier”, published by Rizzoli in 2023, New York.

Born in Italy, Umberto Pasti has lived for over forty years between Milan, Tangier and Rohuna, a small village on the Moroccan Atlantic coast south of Assilah. In Rohuna, he created a large garden, where he cultivates many species threatened by the urban development of the region. Two books describing this titanic undertaking have been published: Perdu au Paradis (Flammarion, 2019) and Eden Revisited: A Garden in Northern Morocco (Rizzoli, 2019), with photographs by Ngoc Minh Ngo. Her photos of Rohuna were exhibited at the mYSLm photography gallery in 2020–
2021.
