Ariane lives with Simon in a large Parisian apartment. He wants to know everything about her: he stalks her on her outings and subjects her to incessant questioning. He knows Ariane’s taste for women, which leads him to suspect that she leads a double life, and which only exacerbates his pain, his helplessness and undeniably his desire for her.
